There are plenty of other songs to listen to that I do like. But whatever, that's not Michael's fault.

I'll probably not listen to Dagen Før or When We Were Kids or Cloud 9 intentionally, like ever. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you or I as fans saying "ew, no, this is not the music I like to listen to" but its also not ok to expect them to still make the exact same stuff for 20 years.

If you started with them from the beginning, I'd hope you are a different person today as well. An artist should always follow their muse, thats what makes them an artist to begin with. It would be totally unfair of me to expect any artist I listen to or respect to be perpetually stuck in a single mindset. I don't write the same way, play the same way, listen to the same music regularly. I'm not the same person I was 20 years ago. Its still a business too, and if they want to continue they had better find a way to grow ($$) their audience, but also grow up with their audience. A band and its members need to grow and change or risk getting stale and losing touch, or even worse, burned out. I'm glad he isn't just sitting back recycling the same stuff or trying to recreate his youth. A musician that doesn't grow or change is a boring one IMO.
